I made it back in 2018....and for a period of time that wasn't a sure thing. For those of you who know me, I spend a lot of time as a road warrior. During the summer of 2018, I was referred to a brain and spinal surgeon for some discomfort that I was having while driving to Chicago-area every week. For the first appointment, I wore my favorite Herd T-shirt in which I intended to make my stand that I would not miss a Herd football game. Well that changed as soon as I HERD the word potential "paralysis." I scheduled my surgery for the first possible date, and went to Miami, EKU and NC State. Recovery ended up being slower than I hoped, and I was not sure that I would make it back to see the HERD in 2018. After my surgery, I wasn't able to talk or be very mobile for about two months. In that time, I thought a lot about my love of Huntington, my choice to use Marshall football as a way to keep Huntington as my (delusional) domicile, Doc, and branding. The good news is that I made it back for the UTSA game. Here are the Ten Things I think I know after 2018:
